no blog yesterday 'cause i was just too busy--running all over town with mike and matt's mom and dad--shirley and cecil--who came to visit sharon and i fora couple of days! we had a wonderful time that was all too short and both cecil and mama shirley told tales on mike and matt (dude, i'm gonna hafta call you out on a couple of the things i heard... : ) ...
i also put the blog off 'til today, 'cause today is mike's birthday--he would have been 47 today and laughing at the stories his parents told on him, laughing at the story of his father and my favorite waitress in matt's favorite diner, laughing that i had both of our father's together in the same room (you win, you win.), grousing about the way hollywood just had to screw around with jonah hex, infuriated about the oil spill, comforting me (still) over the loss of jake, and drawing some of the most amazing comics we'd ever see!
most of it, you'll notice though, is laughing...

Jeez. I love that middle picture. He had such an open face. He was always a horrible liar. Everything just showed in his expressions. He couldn't help it.
So glad you had a good time with Cecil and Momma Shirley.
I love the picture of Mike with Charlie. We gave Mike's favorite 'flabby tabby' lots of love today. You know Mike loved him some Charlie Barlow. So do we.
