forgot what day it was...

okay...

january 2nd, 2008.

got up this morning and went right to work (a very good practice for a writer, i'm told) lettering craig's amazing pages for the PERHAPANAUTS ANNUAL. got so deep into it...

...that it wasn't until about 4 o'clock that i realized that it was wednesday (these tuesday holidays have thrown off my mental/biological calendar)!

and so HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

hope you had a safe and happy new year's eve and that your new years resolutions are still intact two days into the mission.

what didja do? didja go out? didja dance in the new year?

we stayed home and stayed up, glasses of amaretto to toast in the new year as ancient but still wonderful dick clark counted it down and watched the ball drop. nice and warm and great to be with the one i love. and the two fuzzy ones we love. : )

but i think that the other highlight of the night would have to be that sharon and i had saved up the last three episodes and had our own little journeyman marathon earlier in the evening and, i can't say this enough, what a horrible, horrible waste of an amazing show for nbc to let journeyman go away. as a writer, i am thrilled each episode--THROUGHOUT each episode--as they spin their web, creating a tapestry so full of potential. the writing is tremendous, the performances are so rich--this is going to be one of those single season (or half season) dvd phenomenons--like wonderfalls and firefly!

watch this show.
it's great!

gotta get back to work!
craig is crankin' 'em out faster than i can write 'em!
more tomorrow!
smell ya later!

My favorite new show of the year. I miss it already. That second-to-last episode with the digital camera and the son/daughter was one of the best hours of TV I've seen in a while.

At least Pushing Daisies seems to be doing good.

Glad you had a nice new year. Went to a party down the street.

I too realy enjoy Journeyman. That's one of the few shows that I make a point to record if I can't see it as it airs.

I think it's awesome that you got so involved with the lettering that time flew by. That's one of the things I like most about doing any type of art or hobby.

Keep it up though, we can't wait for the next thrilling issue of Todd and Craig's "The Perhapanauts"

Later.

Heck, I didn't even make it to midnite. Celebrated the London New Year to hedge my bets and hit the sack around 11 o'clock.

Excellent news on the 'Haps Annual. Angie'll be pleased too as she asked me last night if there were any more to read after finishing the two Dark Horse series.

Glad to hear you had a great New Year's. We had some friends come over after the baby went to sleep and just hung out and had a few drinks till midnight.

I'm gonna miss Journeyman too. Is it officially kaput? I missed the pilot but fell right into it with the second episode. My favorites were the digital camera episode and the episode with the other "traveler."

It was also Carol Ann, Dick Clark and I at home counting in the New Year.

I wasn't a big fan of the premise of Journey Man and then heard bad reviews for the first episode, so I didn't end up watching it. Based on the raves you are giving it, I'll have to give it a look in 2008.

Glad to hear the lettering is moving along nicely and I love the latest version of the cover for the Annual that Craig posted on the message board. The initial one was great, but the nostalgia factor puts this one over the top, plus I've always been a fan of the head shots of the team running down the border of the cover.

Happy New Years everyone!

MY GF and I went to my friends house and we ate ourselves silly, drank some good beer and played a bunch of those Scene-It games. Nothing overly exciting but it was relaxing and that's what I was mostly looking for.

Never got to catch Journeyman, hopefully they'll release it on dvd if it is indeed cancelled. I'll give it a shot then, or they'll probably re-run it on the Sci-Fi channel so maybe i can catch it there.
